Underwear, socks and T-shirts

Socks are the largest group, with regular socks, ankle socks and in-shoe footies in many sizes and colours. Among the briefs you will find several styles, from thong and tai to maxi and hipster. For the innermost layer there are also bamboo bras and a bamboo slip, and for everyday wear bamboo tops for women and women's long sleeve bamboo T-shirts. If you want something warmer, have a look at bamboo sweatshirts for women. Jogging sets are a slightly smaller group, but they suit days at home and weekend trips. Sizes vary from product to product, so read the product description before you choose. Many people pick several identical basics, so a clean one is always ready in the drawer.

Basics for discerning and fashion conscious women

Bamboo basics for women are not only comfortable to wear. They are also OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, and the certification means healthy products free from harmful chemicals. The style is simple and modern, and the colours are muted, so you can mix and match as you like. The material is hard wearing and can be used for a long time without losing its shape or looking worn. After every wash the clothes quickly return to their fit.

Breathable bamboo clothing for sensitive skin

Viscose fibres are much longer and softer than, for example, conventional cotton. They feel softer against the skin and are far more elastic. The fibres also have many microscopic holes, which give the breathability many people associate with bamboo. When your skin can breathe through the clothes, there are fewer problems with dry and itchy skin, which many people experience in winter when the air is cold and dry. Bamboo is also temperature regulating, so you feel comfortable in both summer and winter. Like wool, bamboo feels cooling when it is warm and helps retain heat when it is cold. That is why breathable bamboo clothing suits those with sensitive skin or allergies.

Care and a long life

One of the biggest advantages of bamboo clothing is that it lasts a long time when you look after it. Wash at a low temperature, preferably 30 degrees, and avoid fabric softener, which can reduce the natural breathability of the material. The high elasticity of bamboo viscose means the clothes quickly return to shape after washing. Because bamboo works against bacteria and odour, they do not need washing as often. Follow the care label and air dry rather than using a tumble dryer, which can wear the fibres unnecessarily. Choosing quality that lasts also helps reduce unnecessary consumption.
