Two white bamboo tank tops with a round neck

When it gets too warm for a T-shirt, the white tank top is the next step. The sleeveless sister of the T-shirt

The round neck is what keeps the top from looking like underwear when it is worn on its own. The wide straps cover your bra straps, the neckline sits in the same place as on an ordinary T-shirt, and the result is a top that can be worn out among people with nothing over it. White for warm days

White is the coolest colour to wear in the sun, because it throws the light back instead of absorbing it. Together with the smooth surface of the bamboo viscose, that gives a garment which feels cool when you put it on and stays that way as the temperature rises. That is one of the reasons why white and the light tones in particular sell most in the summer.

The fabric

The tank tops are made of 70 % bamboo viscose, 25 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The bamboo viscose draws moisture away from the skin, so it evaporates instead of staying put, the cotton gives the fabric body, and the elastane keeps the neckline and the straps firm, so the top does not go slack around the opening. The certification

The tops are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified under cert. no. BJ020 142441, so the whole product is tested for harmful substances. On clothes worn directly against the skin in the heat, where you sweat the most, that is the certification that matters.

Washing

Wash the tops at 30 to 40 degrees together with your white and light clothes, and let them air dry. Avoid fabric softener, which settles on the fibres and makes the fabric worse at moving moisture. If white is washed with coloureds, it takes on a grey tone over time that cannot be washed out again. The rest is under washing and care.

Size

The model comes in sizes S to XXL. Choose your usual size if the top is to sit close as a base layer, and go one size up if it is mainly to be worn as a loose summer top. The elastane means the fit holds, even after many washes.

There are two identical tops in the pack, so one can be in use while the other is clean. The pack is sent in packaging without unnecessary plastic, and you can read what it is made of under packaging. A white top is the one that gets washed most often, and that is why two of them make more sense than one.
