Two white bamboo tops with thin straps

Most vests are made to disappear. The white top with thin straps is the one that may just as well be seen. It works as the clean, light layer under an open shirt or a blazer, where it becomes a visible part of the outfit rather than a layer that has to be hidden. The pack contains two identical white tops with thin, adjustable straps, for women, in sizes S to XXL.

When the layer is allowed to show

White does something to an outfit: it breaks up dark clothes, makes a beige or black blazer less heavy, and gives a clean field in the middle of the look. Under a loose shirt with the buttons open it is precisely the white top that ties the outfit together. That is why white is a different kind of choice from the skin toned shades, which are bought in order to be invisible.

Straps that can be adjusted

The straps are thin and can be adjusted in length, so the top follows the neckline of whatever you wear over it instead of sticking out. For a deep neckline they are tightened, so the top sits higher, and if it is to be worn on its own, they can be loosened, so the top drapes more softly. The side seams hold the shape, so it does not twist during the day.

The fabric

The tops are made of 70 % bamboo viscose, 25 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The bamboo viscose is smooth and cool against the skin and moves moisture away from the body, so it evaporates instead of staying put. White clothes ask a little more

White is the colour that shows everything, and that is why it is worth washing the tops on their own together with the rest of your white and light items. If they are washed with coloureds, white slowly takes on a grey or yellowish tone that cannot be washed out again. Two identical tops make it easier to gather a full light load instead of washing a single top at a time.

The certification

The tops are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified under cert. no. BJ020 142441. The whole product is tested for harmful substances, sewing thread and straps included, and that is the label that matters most on clothing worn directly against the skin all day long.

Washing

Wash at 30 to 40 degrees with your whites, skip the fabric softener, and let the tops air dry. Fabric softener leaves a film on the fibres that makes the fabric worse at moving moisture. The tops dry quickly, and the rest of the advice is found under washing and care.

Size, and if it does not fit

The model comes in sizes S to XXL and sits close to the body. Choose your usual size if the top is mostly to be worn as a layer under other clothes, and consider one up if it is to be worn on its own. If the pack does not fit, it can be exchanged according to the rules set out under returns.
