These white tennis socks with black stripes are super soft because they are made of bamboo. They are especially suitable for people who are on their feet all day as the underside of the foot is woven extra thick.

In addition, bamboo socks are sweat-wicking and breathable, so they keep your feet fresh all day long.

WASHING AND CARE

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40°C
Wash inside out – especially if there is print
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer
Use detergent without strong enzymes – e.g. wool/silk detergent, preferably fragrance-free
Underwear can be washed at 60°C, but this may shorten the lifespan

DESCRIPTION

Three pairs of white bamboo tennis socks with black stripes

The white tennis sock with stripes on the edge is one of the few pieces of sportswear that has never really gone out of fashion. It is just as at home in a pair of high top trainers with shorts as it is in a running shoe, and it looks right in both places. Here are three pairs in white with two black stripes on the ribbing.

The sizes run from 30/33 to 45/49, and the model is unisex, so it fits children, women and men alike.

Thick sole, high leg

The underside of the foot is knitted extra thick. There is therefore a cushioned layer between the ball of the foot and the sole of the shoe, and that is the detail that sets the tennis sock apart from an ordinary sock. It relieves the forefoot if you are on your feet a lot, and it gives a softer landing in a shoe without much cushioning.

The leg reaches a good way up the calf and keeps the sock in place. That is practical in a high shoe and in a boot, where a low sock would work its way down under the heel.

The combination of a thick sole and a high leg also makes it an obvious work sock, even though the name says sport. We hear from customers in shops, kitchens and hospitals that it is precisely the cushioned underside that makes a difference after a whole shift on your feet.

The material makes the difference in a sports sock

A thick white cotton sock gets wet and stays wet. Bamboo viscose behaves differently. The fibre moves moisture from the skin out into the fabric, where it evaporates, and that is why the foot feels dry for longer, even though there is more yarn in the sole. The sock also dries faster after washing, which is worth knowing if it has to be worn again the next day.

The dry foot has a side benefit. Bacteria live on moisture, and when the moisture is moved away, they have less to work with. That is why bamboo socks do not start to smell as quickly. What there really is to it we have written about under is bamboo antibacterial, and the general facts about the plant are on facts about bamboo.

Material

75% bamboo viscose, 23% polyester and 2% elastane. The polyester provides the durability, the elastane keeps the ribbed edge taut. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, cert. no. 976-15301, that is tested for substances harmful to health in every part, dye and sewing thread included.

White socks and the washing machine

Wash them separately at 40 degrees and together with other whites. If they are washed with colours, they take on a grey tone that does not come out again. Chlorine bleach should be used sparingly, as it wears on the viscose fibre and makes the sole thin before its time. Fabric softener should be avoided altogether. The whole procedure is set out under washing and care.

The sole gets darker over time from the shoe, not from the wash. That is normal for a white sock.

Three pairs in the pack

The tennis sock uses more yarn than the thin models, and that is why it comes in a three pack. Three pairs are enough for a week if you wash along the way.

The same model comes in black, in red and in blue, and there is a version with longer ribbing. Look under bamboo socks or bamboo socks for women.
