High leg, soft edge

The leg reaches up the calf and stays put. The ribbed edge is knitted so that it holds without constricting, which means there is usually not the red groove in the skin in the evening that a tight sock leaves behind. If you are prone to swollen legs, that is worth noting.

The height also makes the sock usable in a boot and in a high training shoe, where the edge would otherwise rub directly against the skin. That is the most common reason people buy full length rather than an ankle model.

Why white socks are harder than black ones

A white sock hides nothing. It shows moisture, it shows shoe polish, and it shows wear. On the other hand it is the only right colour for light trainers and for sportswear, and there is a whole group of customers who use white socks exclusively, because they want to be able to see whether the sock is clean.

This is where the material helps. Bamboo viscose moves moisture away from the skin and out into the fabric, where it evaporates, instead of letting it sit in the sole. The sock therefore does not get wet in the same way as a cotton sock, and it dries quickly after washing. The fibre is also smooth on the surface and does not pill as easily, which means the white sock does not go fuzzy and grey after a month. How to keep them white

Wash them together with other whites at 40 degrees. If they are washed together with coloured clothes, they take on a greyish tone, and it does not come out again. Use a detergent for whites, but go easy on chlorine bleach, because chlorine attacks the viscose fibre and makes the sock thin before its time. Fabric softener should be avoided altogether, as it settles like a film in the fibres. The procedure is set out under washing and care.

Material and certification

75% bamboo viscose, 23% polyester and 2% elastane. The polyester provides the durability in the heel and toe, the elastane keeps the ribbed edge taut around the calf. The socks are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, cert. no. 976-15301, that is tested for substances harmful to health in every single component.
