Dark green bamboo T-shirt for men
Dark green is autumn and winter's answer to navy: a deep, calm colour with more personality than the blacks and greys the wardrobe is already full of. This version is knitted in bamboo viscose with organic cotton, has a round neck and comes in sizes S to XXXL.
Bottle green for the dark season
Where olive is the green of summer, dark green is the green of winter. It looks good with grey knitwear, brown boots, black outerwear and raw denim, and it gives depth to outfits that would otherwise be pure black and grey. It is the colour people notice without quite being able to say why, and it is hard to find in good quality, precisely because most manufacturers stick to the safe option.
The fabric
The T-shirt is made of 70 % bamboo viscose, 25 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The bamboo viscose makes the fabric soft and smooth, lets it drape heavily and neatly and moves moisture away from the skin, so the top feels dry and fresh through the day. The cotton gives body and durability, and the elastane keeps the shape, even after many washes. The full properties of the fibre are under benefits of bamboo viscose.
Layer upon layer
In the cold season the T-shirt mostly lives as the innermost layer, and here the smooth fabric pays off twice: it does not bunch up under shirts and knitwear, and it sits comfortably directly on the skin all day. At the same time the dark green colour means the top can carry the outfit on its own, on the day the radiator is turned up too high.
The colour that is hard to find
Black and white T-shirts are everywhere, but a dark green one in proper quality is a rarity, and that is part of its value. It signals that some thought has gone into the wardrobe, without any fuss being made about it. Once you have found a bottle green one that fits and holds its colour, it is a top you come back for, and that is why it is a permanent part of our range and not a seasonal item.
Certification
The T-shirt is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, cert. no. BJ020 142441. The certificate covers every component in the top, the dye included, and what the label means is explained under what OEKO-TEX Standard 100 means.
Not only for winter after all
Even though dark green belongs to the cold season in styling terms, the fabric works all year round. The bamboo viscose breathes and cools in the heat, so the top works fine on a summer evening, where the deep colour looks good with light trousers. It is the colour that is seasonal, not the top, and that is why it stays in rotation when spring comes, instead of going on the shelf with the winter clothes.
Washing
Wash the top inside out at 30 to 40 degrees together with dark clothes, avoid fabric softener, and let it air dry. The deep green colour lasts longest when the top is not tumble dried, and the fabric dries quickly by itself anyway.
Size
The model runs from S to XXXL with a regular fit. Choose your usual size, and only go up if you prefer a looser drape. The elastane gives freedom of movement without tightness.
Packaging and the rest of the palette
The top is sent in simple packaging without unnecessary plastic, read about the choices under packaging. If you want the green line with longer sleeves, the long sleeved models are under long-sleeved bamboo T-shirt, and the whole colour palette in short sleeves can be found under T-shirts for men.
