WASHING AND CARE

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40°C
Wash inside out – especially if there is print
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer
Use detergent without strong enzymes – e.g. wool/silk detergent, preferably fragrance-free
Underwear can be washed at 60°C, but this may shorten the lifespan

DESCRIPTION

Navy sweatpants for you who want to wear them out of the house

Navy blue is the colour that makes a pair of joggers most usable outside the house. The dark blue looks tidy with white trainers and with an ordinary jacket, and together with the zip in the pockets and the small logo on the right thigh, this is a pair of trousers you can put on without having decided in advance whether you are going out of the door.

Four fibres, each with its own function

The trousers are woven from 55 % bamboo viscose, 25 % polyester, 15 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The bamboo viscose gives the softness, the elastane the stretch, the polyester the shape retention and the cotton the body. The combination means the trousers both feel soft and keep their shape over the thighs and knees. Read about the fibre on the page about benefits of bamboo viscose.

Comfortable for many hours

Bamboo viscose draws moisture away from the skin and is breathable, which is felt especially in trousers worn from morning to evening. The fabric feels cool against the legs in summer and warm in winter, because the fibre helps the body maintain an even temperature. The background is described under facts about bamboo.

A zip in both pockets

The side pockets close with a zip. It sounds like a small thing, but it is the difference between a pair of trousers that stays at home and a pair you can cycle in, take on the train or wear for a walk without thinking about what you have in your pockets.

Unisex and generous in size

The style is available from XS to XXL and is cut to men's measurements, so it runs large. Choose your usual size for a relaxed cut, or go one size down for a closer fit. Many women choose one size smaller than normal. The drawstring at the waist gives extra leeway if you are between two sizes.

Dark blue keeps its colour best washed cold

Wash the trousers inside out at 30 degrees without fabric softener, and let them air dry. Navy is among the colours that lose the most in a warm wash, while they stay almost unchanged for years when they are washed cold. Tie the drawstring before they go into the machine. All the advice is in the guide to washing and care.

Documented free from harmful chemicals

The fabric is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, certificate number 976-15301, which tests the finished textile for harmful substances. We go through what you can use the certificate for on the page about OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100.

The details that decide how long it lasts

The ribbed cuff at the bottom and the elastic in the waistband are the two places a pair of sweatpants normally gives up first. Both are sewn with elastane so they keep their grip, and that is the main reason the trousers still sit correctly after a winter of use. The zips are metal zips with a fabric strip behind them, so they do not lie directly against the skin.

Part of the sweat range

There are a navy sweatshirt and hoodie in the same quality, so the trousers can be part of a complete set. See the other styles in the collection with sweatpants for women, where all the colours are side by side.
