Two tan bamboo tops with thin straps
Tan is the warm, sand coloured neutral that most wardrobes are missing. It is neither as sharp as white nor as heavy as black, but sits in between, where it suits both sun tanned skin and all the beige, khaki and denim in the drawer next to it. A colour that works with the rest
Tan behaves like a base colour. It does not clash with anything, it does not show harshly through light clothes, and worn on its own with a white skirt or a pair of light jeans it looks deliberate rather than accidental. It is the kind of colour you buy without having a particular outfit in mind, because it goes with the ones already hanging in the wardrobe.
The straps decide the fit
The thin straps can be adjusted in length, and they are what decides whether the top lies smoothly or bags. Tighten them and the top sits high and close under an open shirt. Loosen them and it falls softly when it is worn as a garment in its own right. The side seams hold the shape in place, so the top does not twist around the body during the day.
The fabric
The tops are made of 70 % bamboo viscose, 25 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The bamboo viscose is smooth and cool against the skin and draws moisture away from the body, so it evaporates in the fabric instead of staying put. Tested for harmful substances
The tops are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified under cert. no. BJ020 142441. The certification covers the whole product, so sewing thread and straps as well, and it means that every component has been tested for substances that should not sit against the skin. Why two identical ones
Two identical tops are not the same as one top in two colours. It is a small system: one is on your body, the other lies clean in the drawer, and you never run out in the middle of a week when the laundry has fallen behind. A layer that sits innermost and takes the day's sweat has to be changed often, and that only becomes practical if there is one more of the same kind.
Washing
Wash the tops at 30 to 40 degrees together with your light clothes, do not use fabric softener, and let them air dry. Fabric softener settles like a film on the fibres and makes the fabric less good at moving moisture. The tops dry quickly, and the rest of the advice is under washing and care.
Size
The model comes in sizes S to XXL and sits close to the body, as a base layer has to in order to lie smoothly. Choose your usual size. The elastane gives enough freedom of movement for the top to follow you, without squeezing over the shoulders or back.
