These army green bamboo low cut socks from Copenhagen Bamboo are incredible soft precisely because they are made of bamboo. The socks keep your feet fresh even on long hot days because they are, among other things, sweat-wicking and breathable.

These super soft socks have a slightly shorter shaft than a regular sock, as some people prefer the sock not to go too far up the leg.
These socks may also be comfortable for some diabetics, due to the slightly shorter shaft.

WASHING AND CARE

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40°C
Wash inside out – especially if there is print
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer
Use detergent without strong enzymes – e.g. wool/silk detergent, preferably fragrance-free
Underwear can be washed at 60°C, but this may shorten the lifespan

DESCRIPTION

Five pairs of army green low cut bamboo socks

Why choose a colour on a sock that can barely be seen? Because you know it is there. Army green in the low model is for anyone who wants something other than black in the drawer, including on the parts of the wardrobe that nobody else notices. The pack contains five identical pairs with a low cut leg, unisex, in sizes 30/33 to 45/49.

The almost invisible colour

In a low shoe the sock shows only as a narrow edge above the shoe, and army green works surprisingly well there. It plays well with white, black and brown trainers alike, and it gives a small, deliberate choice of colour instead of the default. If you take your shoes off, for example at home or in offices with a shoe free policy, the colour suddenly stands out clearly, and then it is good that it says something other than black.

The leg stops at the edge of the shoe

Low cut means that the sock ends just above the edge of a trainer. There is therefore no elastic constricting the calf, and no visible sock between trouser and shoe when the trousers are short or rolled up. Some generally prefer the low cut leg because it gives as little pressure on the leg as possible, but the sock is ordinary everyday clothing and not a medical product.

The heel stays in place

A low sock is only good if it stays on the foot. This model has a shaped knitted heel that grips the heel bone, and a leg that is exactly high enough to hold against it when the foot works inside the shoe. That is the difference between a low cut and the very low footies, which slip more often.

Bamboo against odour

The socks are knitted from 75 % bamboo viscose, 23 % polyester and 2 % elastane. The bamboo viscose moves sweat away from the skin and out into the fabric, where it evaporates, and dry feet are the shortest route to socks that do not smell. We have explained the connection between moisture, bacteria and odour under is bamboo antibacterial. Polyester in the heel and toe gives durability, and elastane holds the shape.

Wash with your dark laundry

Army green belongs in the dark wash and can be washed at 40 degrees without bleeding. Skip the fabric softener, it clogs the fibres and makes the sock less able to move moisture. More advice on keeping the socks like new can be found under washing and care.

The rotation works out

Five pairs cover an ordinary week: one pair a day on weekdays, and then all of them in the wash at the weekend. Because all five pairs are identical, there is never an odd sock left in the drawer, and the wear spreads evenly, so the pack lasts longer than five random single pairs would. That is the quiet advantage of buying identical pairs rather than collecting them here and there.

Packaging without filler

The pack is packed in cardboard without unnecessary plastic, so it takes up as little room as possible both in the letterbox and in the bin afterwards. You can read about our choice of materials under packaging.

Size and the rest of the range

Choose the range that matches your normal shoe size, and go down if in doubt, so the sock sits snugly from the start. The same low model comes in grey, black, white and navy, and the whole range can be found under bamboo socks. The selection aimed at men can be found under socks for men.
