These black bamboo low cut socks are wonderfully soft precisely because they are made of bamboo. The socks keep your feet fresh even on long hot days because they are sweat-wicking and breathable.

These super soft bamboo socks have a slightly shorter shaft than a regular sock, as some prefer the sock not to go too far up the leg.
These socks can also be comfortable for some diabetics, due to the slightly shorter shaft.

WASHING AND CARE

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40°C
Wash inside out – especially if there is print
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer
Use detergent without strong enzymes – e.g. wool/silk detergent, preferably fragrance-free
Underwear can be washed at 60°C, but this may shorten the lifespan

DESCRIPTION

Five pairs of black low cut bamboo socks

Low cut is the sock for you if you do not want anything up the leg. The leg stops just above the edge of the shoe, so shorter than an ankle sock, but still high enough for the heel to stay in place. It is an in between, and for many people it becomes the sock that ends up being worn every day. Here you get five pairs in black.

The sizes run from 30/33 through 34/39 and 40/44 to 45/49. That ranges from a child's foot to large men's sizes, and the model is unisex.

The short leg has a reason

A short leg means less elastic around the calf. Some people find that an ordinary sock leaves a groove in the skin after a day at work, and that groove is what the low cut model is designed around. If you are prone to swollen legs late in the day, or you stand up for many hours, it is worth trying. We also hear from customers with diabetes that they prefer the low leg, because it does not tighten around the leg.

It has to be said plainly: the sock is not a medical product, and it is not a compression sock. It is simply sewn without the tight leg.

Black is black all year round

Black goes with workwear, with jeans, with trainers and with smart shoes, and it hides the wear that a light sock shows straight away. Five pairs are enough for a working week, and because they are identical, you can pair them up blindly after washing without ending up with three odd ones.

The material

75 % bamboo viscose, 23 % polyester and 2 % elastane. The bamboo viscose is the soft part and the one that moves moisture away from the skin. The polyester gives the sock the durability in the heel and the toe that pure viscose does not have. The elastane holds the shape, so the sock does not go baggy after the third time on the foot.

The fibre is temperature regulating, which in practice means that it holds the warmth in a winter boot and leads it away again in a summer shoe. That is why the same sock can be worn all year. How bamboo becomes yarn you can read about under how bamboo viscose is made, and the short facts are on facts about bamboo.

Certification

The socks are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, cert. no. 976-15301. The certificate covers every single element in the sock, including the sewing thread and the dye, and means that the parts have been tested for substances harmful to health. What lies behind the label is on the page what OEKO-TEX Standard 100 means.

Washing and choice of size

Choose by your normal shoe size. If you are on the border between two, take the smaller one, as the sock gives a little after a few times on the foot. Wash at 40 degrees without fabric softener and feel free to air dry. Fabric softener settles like a film in the fibres and slows down exactly the moisture wicking you bought the sock for, and that is the most common reason a bamboo sock suddenly does not feel the way it did at the start.

There is a point to five identical pairs. You can put on a clean pair every day of a working week, and after washing they can be paired up blindly, without three odd ones being left in the drawer.
