These navy blue bamboo low cut socks are incredibly soft precisely because they are made of bamboo. The socks keep your feet fresh even on long hot days because they are sweat-wicking and breathable.

These super soft bamboo socks have a slightly shorter shaft than a regular sock, as some prefer the sock not to go too far up the leg.
These socks can also be comfortable for some diabetics, due to the slightly shorter shaft.

WASHING AND CARE

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40°C
Wash inside out – especially if there is print
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer
Use detergent without strong enzymes – e.g. wool/silk detergent, preferably fragrance-free
Underwear can be washed at 60°C, but this may shorten the lifespan

DESCRIPTION

Five pairs of navy blue low cut bamboo socks

Navy is the colour many people end up wearing instead of black. It is dark enough to go with workwear and smart trousers, but it is not quite as harsh in tone as black, and it sits more neatly with blue jeans and with grey and brown shades. Here you get five identical pairs with a low leg.

The sizes are 30/33, 34/39, 40/44 and 45/49, and the style is unisex.

Low cut means less tightness

The leg stops just above the edge of the shoe. That is shorter than an ankle sock, and there is therefore less elastic around the leg. If you know the feeling of getting a groove in the skin over the calf after a working day, that is the detail that makes the difference. The sock still stays in place, as the heel section is shaped to the heel bone, but it does not pinch.

The colour in practice

Navy with dark blue suit trousers is the safe combination, but it works just as well with chinos and with jeans. With dark shoes the transition between trouser hem and sock disappears, which is the whole point of a dark sock. And unlike a light sock, navy hides the wear that inevitably appears under the ball of the foot.

The material does the work

75 % bamboo viscose, 23 % polyester and 2 % elastane. The bamboo viscose is the soft and the moisture wicking part. The fibres are round and smooth on the surface, whereas cotton fibres are shorter and rougher, and that is why the sock feels different the very first time it is put on. The polyester is responsible for the durability in the heel and the toe. The elastane holds the shape, so the sock does not go baggy around the ankle.

In a closed shoe the moisture is the real problem. Bamboo viscose moves the moisture away from the skin and out into the fabric, where it can evaporate, and the foot therefore feels dry for longer. That is also the explanation for the sock not smelling as quickly as an ordinary sock, as moisture is what bacteria live on. The other properties of the fibre we have described under benefits of bamboo viscose.

Certification and origin

The socks are certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, cert. no. 976-15301. The certificate covers every single component, including the dye and the sewing thread, and means that the parts have been tested for substances harmful to health. The raw material comes from FSC certified forestry, and what that label actually covers is on what FSC means.

Washing

40 degrees together with the rest of your dark clothes. Fabric softener has to be avoided, as it settles like a film in the fibres and slows down the moisture wicking. Air drying extends the lifespan, but tumble drying on low heat is perfectly usable if you are in a hurry. The procedure is under washing and care.

Five identical pairs

Five pairs in the same colour is not a coincidence. It gives a clean pair every day of a working week, and it removes the eternal problem of odd socks, as all five are identical and can be paired up blindly. The price per pair is at the same time lower than buying singly.
