Olive bamboo T-shirt for men
Olive is the colour that makes an entirely ordinary T-shirt look like a choice. It is muted enough for everyday wear, but it is not yet another black or grey, and that is exactly what makes it the wardrobe's easiest way to vary things. This version is knitted in bamboo viscose with organic cotton, has a round neck and comes in sizes S to XXL.
The earth colour that suits most people
Olive green works together with almost everything a men's wardrobe consists of: denim, black, white, beige and brown. It has the calm of its military heritage without looking like fancy dress, and it works both in the light outfits of summer and as a spot of colour in the dark layers of winter. Many people find that their olive green T-shirt gets used more than the black ones, precisely because it does something the black ones do not.
The fabric
The T-shirt is made of 70 % bamboo viscose, 25 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The bamboo viscose makes the fabric soft, smooth and cool against the skin and carries moisture away, so it evaporates instead of staying in the top. The all-year top
The temperature regulation of the bamboo viscose makes the olive top useful all year round: on its own in the heat, where the fabric breathes and cools, and as a soft layer under shirts and knitwear when it turns cold. Because the fabric drapes smoothly and does not bunch up, it works better as a base layer than most thicker T-shirts.
Matches the rest of the green
If you have taken to the earth colours, the thread can be carried all the way down into your shoes: the army green bamboo socks and the tennis socks with army and olive stripes are under bamboo socks. It is that kind of small repetition of the colour that makes a simple outfit look put together.
The holiday top
Olive is one of the best travel colours there is: dark enough to hide a long day's wear, light enough not to bake in the sun, and neutral enough to go with everything else in the suitcase. Add that the bamboo viscose dries quickly after a hand wash and barely creases, and you have the top that can carry a whole holiday with just two of them in the bag.
Washing
Wash the top inside out at 30 to 40 degrees with similar colours, skip the fabric softener, and let it air dry, so the colour stays deep. More advice is under washing and care.
Size
The model comes in sizes S to XXL with a regular fit. Choose your usual size; the elastane gives freedom of movement without the top sitting tight. If you want a looser drape, go one size up.
Fresh through the day
Because the bamboo viscose leads sweat out into the fabric, where it evaporates, instead of letting it stay against the skin, the top keeps dry and fresh for longer than ordinary cotton. It is noticeable on hot days and long working days, and in practice it also means fewer washes, which extends the life of both the colour and the fabric.
