Green sweatpants that do not look like joggers

Green is an unusual choice for a pair of sweatpants, and that is precisely the point. Where black joggers clearly signal home wear, the green ones look more like a pair of relaxed trousers. Combined with the zip in the pockets and the discreet logo on the right thigh, this is a pair of trousers that can be worn outside the home without further thought.

The blend behind the comfort

The sweatpants are made from 55 % bamboo viscose, 25 % polyester, 15 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The bamboo viscose sits against the skin and gives the soft surface, the elastane gives stretch as you move, the polyester keeps the trousers in shape, and the cotton gives them body. The temperature stays even

Bamboo viscose is breathable and moisture-wicking, and that is felt particularly in trousers worn all day. You avoid the clammy feeling behind the knees when you have been sitting down for a long time, and the trousers do not feel cold when you stand up again. Pockets that can be closed

Both side pockets close with a zip. That means phone, keys and purse stay in place, whether you are sitting on the sofa, cycling or out for a walk. It is the detail that moves the trousers from pure loungewear to something that can be worn on the go.

Size and fit

The trousers are unisex in sizes XS to XXL and cut to men's measurements, which makes them run large. Your usual size gives a relaxed cut, and many women choose one size smaller. The waistband has elastic and a drawstring, so the fit can be adjusted, and the leg ends with a ribbed cuff that keeps the trousers in place above the ankle.

Coloured fabric needs a cold wash

Wash inside out at 30 degrees without fabric softener, and avoid the tumble dryer. Coloured trousers lose depth in a warm wash, and the green shade holds up markedly better at low temperatures. Ribbed cuff and drawstring hold the shape

The leg ends in a ribbed cuff that keeps the trousers in place above the ankle instead of letting them fall down over the shoe. The waistband has both elastic and a drawstring, so the fit can be adjusted during the day. Both are sewn with elastane in the edge, which is why they keep their grip even after many washes.

The colour works better than expected

Green sounds like a colour that is difficult to wear, but this muted shade in particular goes with the most common colours in a wardrobe: white, grey, black and denim. That is why the green trousers often end up being worn just as many days as the black ones, once they have made it into the wardrobe.
