Five pairs of low cut bamboo socks in mauve, black, navy and striped

Mauve is a muted, dusty purple. It is not a colour you buy five pairs of, but it is a colour that makes a whole sock drawer less dull when it lies next to black and navy. That is why it is here in a mix: five different pairs in one pack, all with a low leg.

The sizes are 30/33, 34/39 and 40/44, that is from a child's foot to an ordinary women's size.

Five different instead of five identical

The point of a mixed pack is that you get the colours without committing to them. Black and navy are the ones you wear with everything. Mauve is the one you put on when the rest of your clothes are neutral, and the striped pair is for the days when the sock is allowed to show. It is a cheaper way to find out what you actually use than buying five single pairs.

A low leg and why it is comfortable

The leg stops just above the edge of the shoe. There is therefore less elastic around the leg than in an ordinary sock, and that is noticeable if you know about red grooves in the skin in the evening or about swollen ankles after a day on your feet. The heel is shaped so that the sock stays in place even though the leg is low.

Bamboo against odour and moisture

Moisture is the real problem in a shoe, not heat. Bamboo viscose moves the moisture from the skin and out into the fabric, where it evaporates, instead of letting it stay under the foot. The foot feels dry for longer, and the sock dries quickly again after washing.

Composition

75 % bamboo viscose, 23 % polyester and 2 % elastane. The bamboo viscose is the soft and moisture wicking part. The polyester provides durability in the heel and the toe, where socks wear through first. The elastane keeps the edge taut, so the sock does not work its way down into the shoe. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, cert. no. 976-15301, which means tested for substances harmful to health in every part.

Washing

40 degrees. Mauve is a muted colour, and it lasts best if you wash it together with other coloured items rather than with white. Fabric softener should be avoided, because it settles in the fibres and slows down precisely the moisture transport you bought the sock for. Air drying is the gentlest. See washing and care.

Size

Choose according to your normal shoe size, and take the smaller of two if you are on the borderline. Bamboo gives a little the first few times on the foot.

Please note that this pack runs from 30/33 to 40/44 and is therefore not available in the largest men's sizes. That is a deliberate decision, because the colour combination with mauve sells almost exclusively to women and to children, and we would rather stock the sizes that actually get used than fill the shelves with numbers that just sit there.
