Three tan bamboo hipster briefs

A brief that twists around the hip during the day is usually sewn without side seams. This hipster has seams at the sides, and that is why it stays where it should from morning to evening. The pack contains three identical tan hipster briefs in soft bamboo quality, for women, in sizes S to XL.

Why side seams

A brief without side seams is knitted as a single tube, and a tube has no direction: it rotates when you walk, sit down and get up again. The side seams give the fabric a fixed line to follow, so the brief keeps its place on the hip. It costs a little more to sew, and it is the kind of detail you do not think about until you have tried both.

Wide elastic in the waistband

The waistband is a wide, sewn on elastic that spreads the pressure over a larger area instead of gathering it in a narrow strip. That is why the hipster can sit low on the hip without sliding, and why there is no mark left after a long day. At the back there is full coverage, so no edges appear under close fitting fabric.

Tan goes with most things

Tan is the warmest of the neutral underwear colours and lies close to the skin tone for many people. Under light jeans, thin trousers and light skirts it therefore shows less than both white and black. At the same time it does not look like something chosen to be practical, and that is a nice combination in a drawer that is used every day. The fabric

The briefs are made of 70 % bamboo viscose, 25 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The bamboo viscose is smooth against the skin and draws moisture away, so it evaporates instead of staying in the fabric, and that is exactly what matters in a garment that sits close all day. The certification

The briefs are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified under cert. no. BJ020 142441. The certificate covers every single material, including the elastic in the waistband, which lies closest to the skin. What the label means is set out under what OEKO-TEX Standard 100 means.

Washing

Wash the briefs at 40 degrees together with your light clothes, do not use fabric softener, and let them air dry. Fabric softener settles like a film on the fibres and makes the fabric worse at moving moisture, and the tumble dryer wears on the elastic. See the rest under washing and care.

The model comes in sizes S to XL. Choose your usual size, and go up if you are in doubt between two. Three identical briefs cover most of a week, and they can be washed together, so the drawer is never empty.
