Three tan bamboo tai briefs
In summer, underwear suddenly becomes the most important layer. It is the layer that sits closest when the temperature rises, and the one that decides whether the rest of the clothes feel bearable. The tai brief in tan is cut for exactly that: higher leg openings, a little less fabric and a skin close tone. The pack contains three identical tan tai briefs in soft bamboo quality, for women, in sizes S to XL.
The cut for summer
The tai brief sits between the maxi and the thong. The leg openings are cut higher on the hip than on the hipster, which gives more air and more freedom of movement, while there is still full coverage at the back. On warm days that is the combination that works: enough fabric to cover, no more than necessary.
Bamboo in the heat
Bamboo viscose draws moisture away from the skin and out into the fabric, where it evaporates, and that is the property that matters most when it is warm. At the same time the fabric feels cool to put on, because the surface is smooth and leads heat away from the skin faster than a rough cotton knit. Edges that do not press
The leg openings are folded over and sewn instead of being finished with a tight elastic, so the edge lies flat against the thigh. The waistband is a wide, sewn on elastic that spreads the pressure, and the side seams keep the brief in place. On a warm day, when the skin is damp, those are exactly the three places where a badly sewn brief starts to annoy.
The fabric
The briefs are made of 70 % bamboo viscose, 25 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The cotton gives the fabric body, so the brief does not go limp, and the elastane holds the cut, even after many washes in a summer where underwear is changed more often than the rest of the wardrobe.
The certification
The briefs are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified under cert. no. BJ020 142441. All materials in the product are tested for harmful substances, elastic and sewing thread included.
Tan all year round
Tan is not only a summer colour. The skin close tone shows less through light and thin fabric than both white and black, and it therefore works just as well under a light shirt in November as under a dress in July. That is one of the reasons the pack gets used up while seasonal colours stay in the drawer.
Washing
Wash the briefs at 40 degrees together with your light clothes, avoid fabric softener, and let them air dry. They dry quickly enough to be washed in the evening and worn again the next day. See the rest under washing and care.
Size and the rest of the set
The model comes in sizes S to XL and should sit close without being tight around the hip. Choose your usual size, and go up if you are in doubt between two, because a brief that is tight is the one that ends up at the back of the drawer.
