Five pairs of bamboo underpants in black, navy and grey

The pack contains five pairs of underpants in three colours: two black pairs, two navy pairs and one grey pair. It is not a random combination. The three colours cover what an ordinary wardrobe consists of, and the split follows how often they are actually used. The model is for men and comes in sizes S to XXXL.

Why three colours rather than one

Identical underpants are easy, but three colours solve a practical problem: you can tell the pairs apart in the drawer and in the laundry, and you can match what you have on top. Black is the standard, navy works under dark jeans and suit trousers, and the grey pair is the one that comes out when the rest are in the wash. The seams on the legs sit on the inside, where they do not rub against the thigh as you walk. The fabric

The underpants are made of 70 % bamboo viscose, 25 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The bamboo viscose is smooth against the skin and leads moisture away from the body, so it evaporates in the fabric instead of staying put, and dry fabric feels better through a long day than damp fabric does. The certification

The underpants are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified under cert. no. BJ020 142441, which means that every component has been tested for harmful substances, elastic and sewing thread included. What the label covers is under what OEKO-TEX Standard 100 means.

Fit and leg length

The legs are mid length, that is, long enough to lie still on the thigh, but not so long that they show under thin summer trousers. The cut sits close without being tight, and the elastane makes sure it follows the movement, whether you sit down all day or are on your feet. It is the most usable length if there is to be only one model in the drawer.

Five pairs, one wash

Five pairs cover a whole working week, and all three colours can be washed together, because they are all dark. It is the simplest rhythm: use the week, wash the weekend, start again. Two packs give enough slack that it never becomes critical if a wash is postponed.

Washing
