The winter layer under your trousers
A longer leg covers the part of the thigh where thin suit trousers and jeans would otherwise lie directly against the skin. Seams on the inside of the legs
The seams sit on the inside of the legs, where they do not rub against the thigh. The legs end further down, where the thigh is narrower, and therefore they stay in place instead of riding up during the day. The waistband holds without digging into the skin.
Dry all day
The bamboo viscose moves moisture away from the skin and out into the fabric, where it evaporates, and that matters most in a layer that sits close over a large area. The fabric
The underpants are made of 70 % bamboo viscose, 25 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The cotton gives the fabric body, the elastane keeps the legs close to the thigh, so they do not get caught in the trouser leg when you put your trousers on.
The certification
The underpants are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified under cert. no. BJ020 142441. The whole product has been tested for harmful substances, including the elastic in the waistband, and on the innermost layer that is the most relevant label.
When to choose long legs rather than short
Long legs are for cold, for long walks and for warm days when thighs rub against each other. Short legs are for everything else. Most people keep both styles in the drawer and choose according to the day, and the differences are described under guide to knickers and underpants.
Washing
Wash at 40 degrees together with the rest of your dark clothes, avoid fabric softener, and let them air dry. That way the black stays deep, and the elastic keeps its tension. The rest is under washing and care.
