Navy blue bamboo tracksuit with sweatshirt and sweatpants

Navy is the smartest of the sweat colours. It looks less like loungewear than grey and less like sportswear than black, and that is why it is the one people put on when they are going out of the door and not just down on the sofa. The set consists of a sweatshirt with a logo and a pair of sweatpants, both in sizes XS to XXL.

Sweat pieces that can go out

There is a difference between clothes you are at home in and clothes you can meet someone in. Navy sits on the right side of that line: dark enough to be discreet, blue enough not to look like a tracksuit. The sweatshirt works on its own with a pair of jeans, and the trousers work with a white T-shirt or a shirt, if the day calls for it.

The pieces are worn separately

A set is bought together and worn as two pieces, and that is an advantage. The navy blue sweatshirt works with jeans and chinos, and the trousers work with just about any top in white, grey or black. In practice that means the set gets used several times a week rather than only on the days when both pieces are clean at the same time.

Sweatshirt rather than hoodie

The sweatshirt is the simplest of the tops: round neck, no hood, no drawstrings. It is also the one that looks most like an ordinary jumper and least like sportswear, and therefore the one that works best with the navy colour. The drape of the fabric

Sweat fabric can either hang heavily or stand stiffly, and neither of the two looks good. The blend here has been chosen to land in between: the bamboo viscose makes the fabric soft and smooth, the polyester keeps it in shape, so it falls neatly over shoulders and knees instead of bagging after a couple of hours of wear.

A zip in the pockets

The sweatpants have zips in the pockets, so phone and keys stay where they should when you walk or sit down. It is the detail that gets used most on the whole set.

The fabric

The set is made of 55 % bamboo viscose, 25 % polyester, 15 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. Bamboo viscose is made from the fibres of the bamboo plant, which are dissolved and spun into a soft thread, and the whole process is described under how bamboo viscose is made.

The certification

The set is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified under cert. no. 976-15301, so all materials have been tested for harmful substances. The sweat fabric has a different certificate number from the underwear, because it is woven in a different place.

Choose a size for each piece

The top and the trousers are chosen separately. The pieces run large for women, and we recommend choosing one size smaller than normal if the set is to fit as intended.

Washing

Wash the set at 30 to 40 degrees inside out together with the rest of your dark clothes, avoid fabric softener, and let it air dry. Navy keeps its colour best without heat. See the rest under washing and care.
