The white tennis sock with coloured stripes at the top is a classic that has survived every swing of fashion, because it has never really been in doubt about what it is. Here it comes in three identical pairs: a white base, a long ribbed leg and two narrow stripes in blue and red. The model is unisex in sizes 30/33 to 45/49.

Retro on purpose

The blue and red stripes refer to the sports socks from the days when the tennis sock got its name, and that is exactly the look that has become fashionable again. The long ribbed leg

The rib is knitted long and elastic, so the leg can be pulled well up the calf and stay there. It is the rib that makes the difference between a sock that stands sharp all day and one that lies in folds around the ankle after an hour. The grip comes from the knit, not from a tight elastic alone, and that is why it lasts after many washes too.

Thick underside

Like the other tennis socks in the series, the model has an extra thickly woven underside that cushions the pressure against hard floors. That makes it just as suitable for long days on your feet as it is for looking good above the shoe.

The material

The socks are knitted from 75 % bamboo viscose, 23 % polyester and 2 % elastane. The bamboo viscose makes the sock soft and moves the moisture away from the skin, so the foot stays dry and fresh, and dry feet are at the same time the best defence against odour. The connection is explained under is bamboo antibacterial. The polyester reinforces the heel, the toe and the sole, and the elastane works together with the rib to keep the leg up. Keep it white

White socks should be washed with your light laundry at 40 degrees, and the stripes are colourfast and can be washed together with the white base. Avoid fabric softener, which seals up the fibres, and let the socks air dry, that way the rib keeps its springiness. More advice can be found under washing and care.

Size

Choose the size range your shoe size falls into, and take the smaller of two if you are in doubt. A long leg requires the sock to fit precisely, because a sock that is too big slides down no matter how good the rib is.

Three pairs, one look

The pack contains three completely identical pairs, and that is a point in itself. A striped sock loses its effect if the stripes differ from foot to foot, and with three identical pairs there is always a clean, complete pair ready, even when one is in the laundry basket and another is hanging up to dry.
