Three cream bamboo tai briefs
Most briefs fail in one of three places: the waistband cuts in, the leg openings press, or the fabric holds on to the moisture. The tai brief here is cut to avoid all three, and at the same time the cream shade makes it invisible under light clothes. The pack contains three identical cream tai briefs in a soft bamboo quality, for women, in sizes S to XL.
Three places a brief can go wrong
The waistband is solved with a broad, sewn on elastic that spreads the pressure instead of gathering it on a narrow strip. The leg openings are folded over and sewn, so the edge lies flat against the thigh without pressing a groove. And the fabric is chosen because bamboo viscose moves moisture away from the skin and out into the fabric, where it evaporates. Three choices, three problems fewer.
The classic cut
The tai brief sits in between: more coverage than a thong, less fabric than a maxi, and leg openings cut higher up on the hip than on the hipster. That makes it free to move in and easy to wear under close fitting trousers, where a lower leg would otherwise show down the thigh. At the back there is full coverage.
Cream under light clothes
Under light trousers, thin skirts and summer dresses it is not white but cream that disappears, because the skin toned shade gives less contrast against the skin than the sharp white does. It is a small detail that matters a great deal on the days when the clothes on top are thin, and it is the reason cream is the colour most people end up having the most of.
The fabric and where it comes from
The briefs are made of 70 % bamboo viscose, 25 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. Bamboo viscose is made from the fibres of the bamboo plant, which are dissolved and spun into a soft and smooth thread, and it is that process that gives the fabric its characteristic surface. The certification
The briefs are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified under cert. no. BJ020 142441. The certificate covers all the components, that is also the elastic and the sewing thread, and it is the most relevant label on clothing that lies directly against the skin around the clock.
Washing
Wash the briefs at 40 degrees together with your light clothes, skip the fabric softener, and let them air dry. Fabric softener leaves a film on the fibres that makes the fabric worse at moving moisture, and air drying is gentler on the elastic in the waistband. The rest is found under washing and care.
Size, and if it does not fit
The model comes from S to XL. Choose your usual size, and go up if you are in doubt between two, because a tai brief should lie flat without being tight over the hip. If the pack does not fit, it can be exchanged according to the rules under returns, as long as it is unused and the packaging is unopened.
