These red tennis socks with white stripes are incredibly soft because they are made of bamboo. They are especially suitable for people who are on their feet all day as the underside of the foot is woven extra thick. What's more, bamboo socks are sweat-wicking and breathable, so they keep your feet fresh all day long.

WASHING AND CARE

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40°C
Wash inside out – especially if there is print
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer
Use detergent without strong enzymes – e.g. wool/silk detergent, preferably fragrance-free
Underwear can be washed at 60°C, but this may shorten the lifespan

DESCRIPTION

Three pairs of red bamboo tennis socks

A red tennis sock is not an attempt to be discreet. It is meant to be seen, over the top of a trainer or under a pair of turned up trousers, and it does more for an otherwise neutral outfit than most other things in that price range. Three pairs in red with stripes in the ribbed edge.

The sizes are 34/39, 40/44 and 45/49, and the style is unisex.

The visible sock

There was a time when the sock was meant to be hidden. That time is over. A coloured sock above the edge of a trainer has become a perfectly ordinary part of everyday clothing, and red is the colour that works best with black, grey and navy, that is with exactly the clothes people already wear. With denim shorts in summer it does the same.

If you want the colour without shouting, the same model comes in blue and light blue.

Thick sole under the foot

The tennis sock is the only model in the range with a cushioned underside. The sole is woven extra thick all the way from heel to toe, and that takes the pressure off the ball of the foot if you are on your feet a lot or wear a shoe without much cushioning. The leg goes some way up the calf and keeps the sock in place in high shoes and boots.

That is why the model sells just as well to people with standing jobs as it does for sport. The cushioned sole is not noticeable in the first ten minutes, but it is noticeable after a whole shift.

Material

75 % bamboo viscose, 23 % polyester and 2 % elastane. Bamboo viscose moves moisture away from the skin and out into the fabric, where it evaporates, which matters more in a thick sock than in a thin one. Without that a cushioned sole would become a warm and damp sole. The polyester holds the sole together under load, and the elastane keeps the rib firm around the calf.

The fibre comes from bamboo, which is a grass. It grows without irrigation and shoots up again by itself after harvest instead of having to be sown anew. The raw material comes from FSC certified forestry, and what that label covers is explained under what FSC means. The other facts about the plant are on facts about bamboo.

The socks are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, cert. no. 976-15301.

Washing

Red is a strong colour, and it should be washed with other coloured items, not with white, at least not the first few times. 40 degrees, without fabric softener, since fabric softener settles in the fibres and slows the moisture transport. See washing and care.

Three pairs in the pack

The tennis sock uses more yarn than the thin models, and that is why it comes in a three pack rather than a five pack. Three pairs last a week if there is a wash along the way.

Coloured socks are also used differently from black ones. Most people put them on when they feel like it, not every day, and that is why three pairs make more sense than seven. If they are to be used for sport several times a week, it is worth having two packs, so there is always a dry pair ready.

Size

Choose according to your normal shoe size. If you are between two numbers, take the smaller one, as both the leg and the sole give a little after the first few times on the foot.

The model comes in black, white, blue and light blue, and in a version with a longer rib. Have a look under bamboo socks for men or socks for men and women.
