These white tennis socks with long rib are incredibly soft because they are made of bamboo. They are especially suitable for people who are on their feet all day, as the underside of the foot is woven extra thickly. In addition, bamboo socks are, among other things, sweat-wicking and absorbent, so they keep your feet fresh all day long.

WASHING AND CARE

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40°C
Wash inside out – especially if there is print
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer
Use detergent without strong enzymes – e.g. wool/silk detergent, preferably fragrance-free
Underwear can be washed at 60°C, but this may shorten the lifespan

DESCRIPTION

Three pairs of white bamboo tennis socks with a long rib

No stripes, no printed logo, no frills: the all white tennis sock with a long ribbed leg is the pure basic form of the sports sock, and right now it is more current than it has been since the nineties. The pack contains three identical pairs, the model is unisex, and the sizes run from 30/33 to 45/49.

The look that came back

White ribbed socks pulled well up, low trainers and short or rolled up trousers have become one of the most used moves in relaxed dressing. The sock has gone from being something you hid to being a visible part of the outfit. The advantage of the all white one is that it goes with everything: it makes no demands on the colours in the rest of your clothes, the way striped versions do.

The ribbing is the construction

The long leg is rib knitted all the way, and it is the ribbing that keeps the sock smooth and upright from morning to evening. The grip is spread over the whole calf instead of gathered in one tight edge, so the sock neither slides down nor leaves marks on the leg. The shaped heel makes sure the sock stays in place inside the shoe.

More than a look

The underside is knitted extra thick, as on all the tennis socks in the range, and cushions the pressure against hard floors. The sock is therefore just as much a work sock as a fashion sock: it can take a whole day on your feet and look good while doing it. Flat seams over the toes mean that there is no ridge rubbing in the toe of the shoe.

The material

The socks are knitted from 75 % bamboo viscose, 23 % polyester and 2 % elastane. The bamboo viscose is soft against the skin and moves sweat away from the foot and out into the fabric, where it evaporates, so the foot stays dry and fresh. The polyester puts durability into the heel, the toe and the sole, and the elastane works together with the ribbing. A full account of the fibre is found under facts about bamboo.

Certified white

White textile is treated textile too, and that is why the certification matters here. The socks are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, cert. no. 976-15301, and the label covers all the components of the sock. What lies behind it is set out under what OEKO-TEX Standard 100 means.

Three identical pairs are a system

When all three pairs are identical, there is never a sock left over after the wash, and a single hole does not mean that a whole pair is lost, because the rest still match. It sounds trivial, but it is the difference between a drawer of usable socks and a bag of odd ones. Three identical white pairs are enough to keep the look going with a wash a couple of times a week.

Keep them white

White socks should be washed with your light laundry at 40 degrees and never together with new, dark clothes. Avoid fabric softener, and hang them up to dry instead of tumble drying them, and both the white colour and the elasticity of the ribbing will last longest. The rest of the advice can be found under washing and care.

Size and the rest of the range

Choose the range with your normal shoe size and the smaller of two if in doubt. The same model comes in black as well as in white versions with stripes, and a lower ankle version for those who want the look without the long leg.
