Five pairs of bamboo socks in white, black, navy, dark grey and army green

This pack is meant as a whole sock drawer in one box. Five pairs in ordinary length, one in each colour: white, black, navy, dark grey and army green. Together they cover just about everything an ordinary wardrobe contains, and you do not have to decide on a colour before you buy.

The sizes are 34/39, 40/44 and 45/49, and the style is unisex.

One of each

Black for workwear and smart trousers. Navy for blue and grey trousers and for brown shoes. Dark grey for everything black goes with, just a little softer. White for sport and for light trainers. Army green is the one nobody would have chosen themselves, and the one many end up wearing most, because it breaks up the black without being a colourful sock.

If there is a colour you end up wearing more often than the others, all five are available as a five pack in one colour. Then this pack works as a trial pack.

Regular length

The leg goes up the calf and stays in place all day. That is the height that works in boots and in high shoes, where a low sock works its way down under the heel, and it is also the one that covers the leg when the trouser hem rides up while you are sitting down.

The material

75 % bamboo viscose, 23 % polyester and 2 % elastane. Bamboo viscose is a round, smooth fibre that does not scratch the skin, and that moves moisture away from the foot and out into the fabric, where it evaporates. That is why the sock can be worn all day in a closed shoe without ending up clammy, and it is also why it does not smell as quickly as a cotton sock. The polyester provides durability in the heel and toe, the elastane keeps the leg up.

The material is temperature regulating, which means that it holds the warmth in winter and leads it away in summer. The same pair can therefore be worn all year round. The other properties are described under benefits of bamboo viscose.

Why bamboo at all

Bamboo grows without irrigation and without pesticides, and the plant shoots up again by itself after harvest instead of having to be sown anew every season, the way cotton does. That is the reason we have built the whole brand on that fibre. How we work with it in practice is described under responsibility.

Five pairs for a week

Five pairs cover a working week. The difference from a single colour five pack is that you cannot pair them blindly after washing, since they are not identical. On the other hand there is no doubt about which sock belongs to which, precisely because the colours are different, and in practice that is just as quick.

Washing

The white pair should be washed with other white items, and the four dark ones can be washed together at 40 degrees. Leave out fabric softener, which settles in the fibres and slows the moisture transport. Air drying is the gentlest, especially for the white pair, which otherwise yellows slightly at high heat.
